"Exactly who and where are you?" I'm Karen Murphy, long-time bead collector, jewelry designer , polymer clay artist and sculptor. Fifteen years ago I was collecting beads and making jewelry in the unfinished second floor of my Wallingford home in Seattle Washington, then joined an artists' cooperative located in an old bank building on 3rd Ave. in Seattle, then opened The Artifactory in the back room of another bead shop in Madison Valley. I expanded into the street front space when that shop went out of business and then purchased Beads Indeed and expanded into the adjoining space on E Madison, then in Freeland on Whidbey island, then in Redmond, Washington in the warehouse area, and now on the web magical web! My physical reality is in Bellingham. If you are in the area, give me a call and come by for a visit. If you are local, you can use the catalogue in the bead lounge and pick up your order here. About This Site With the exception of tubes of beads, most of the items on this site are one of a kind. number in stock is not given but part of the information stored with the paypal "add to cart button". If you order something out of stock you will be notified before your order is processed in order to avoid overpayment, returns etc. I have no idea how long it will take me to take photographs and upload 8,000 items but I work at it several hours every day. Meanwhile, explore the site and enjoy the beads. Gallery pages show a sample of what is available through the other pages which have order numbers, size, prices and photos of each item. About Shipping and Handling I'm unable to program the individual item weight into the shopping cart's automatic calculator so I have used a flat rate based on what I think I can get into a $5 flat rate USPS envelope. If your order does not fall within this general structure, I will calculate your shipping and contact you about the cost of shipping.
